Built from a real-world shop workflow
Modernizing the operating system of an independent repair shop
PlumWorks has been rebuilding a long-running shop-management workflow as a modern cloud application, connecting internal operational tools with public customer-contact workflows.
The work is grounded in the way the shop already operates. Staff depend on both years of useful history and the behavior built around those records.

Historical financial behavior and reconciliation require particular care. Calculations for labor, parts, tax, shop supplies, invoices, payments, and receivables need to be understood in context—not merely copied field by field.

Legacy data migration is approached as a structured translation. Records must retain their meaning and relationships when they move into a different application model.
That includes reviewing source data, mapping entities and historical states, validating totals, and making reconciliation visible when legacy behavior does not map cleanly to the new system.
Current status
An active modernization project
The automotive repair application is being modernized and is not presented here as fully launched. Core capabilities have been implemented while workflow validation, historical-data work, and production readiness continue.
